Principal Of Kings Park High School Dies Suddenly
Dr. Karen Lessler has died. "This loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns and questions," the superintendent stated.
KINGS PARK, NY — Dr. Karen Lessler, the principal of Kings Park High School, has died, the school district announced.
The district learned of her death earlier Tuesday, Superintendent Timothy T. Eagen told parents and guardians.
"This loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns and questions for our entire school, especially our students," Eagen wrote.

The Kings Park High School has a Crisis Intervention Team made up of professionals trained to help with the needs of students, parents, and school personnel, Eagen said. Several district psychologists and additional mental health personnel will be made available until 4 p.m. Tuesday at the high school and all day on Wednesday.
"We are tremendously saddened by the loss to our school community and will make every effort to help you and your child as needed," Eagen said.
