Teens from Kings Park took to the wheel recently and a made pledge not to text and drive after having completing a distracted driver obstacle course set up at Kings Park High School.
Designed to bring awareness to the dangers of driving while distracted, the Chris Reimels Allstate Agency teamed up with Kings Park High School and created an obstacle course where students got behind the wheel of a golf cart and tasked them with driving while texting and talking on the phone.
“No one is immune to being distracted while driving, but new drivers have the most to learn about the hazards and consequence,” said Reimels. “No text is worth risking a life.”
