2-Month-Long Lane Reductions On Boston Post Road For Bridge Work
Traffic may be reduced to one lane in each direction over the Mamaroneck River while the bridge is reinforced, starting on Monday.

VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK, NY — Congestion is likely on Boston Post Road for the next two months as crews work on a bridge over the Mamaroneck River.
The New York State Department of Transportation announced that one lane of U.S. Route 1 (Boston Post Road) in each direction will close between Mamaroneck Avenue and Spruce Street in the Village of Mamaroneck, for bridge work.
The closures will take place from 7 a.m. on Monday, July 10, through Monday, September 4, weather permitting.

The lane closures are necessary to reinforce and strengthen the stone arch bridge over the Mamaroneck River as part of an ongoing bridge replacement project in lower Westchester.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
