LARCHMONT-MAMARONECK, NY— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
She is everyone's mom! Mrs. Reggio made school great. She never raised her voice and actually talked to us. She played sports with us. She was my mom at school. Everyone had her attention — how I will never know. She game to everyone's games ... We are family. And no mom could do a better job to 22 kids.
