Brass Knuckles, 106 Pounds Of Pot Found After I-95 Speeding Stop: NYSP

Troopers stopped the car for speeding in a work zone on the New England Thruway in Mamaroneck, leading to the arrest of two in the car.

MAMARONECK, NY — A traffic stop led to an unexpected cache of drugs and an unusual weapon, according to troopers.

On Friday, at 12:45 p.m., state troopers stopped a car on I-95 in the Town of Mamaroneck for speeding in a work zone.

Troopers noticed brass knuckles on the front passenger floor and said they received conflicting stories from the two men in the car about the weapon. State police then searched the car and found approximately 106 pounds of cannabis inside several duffel bags located on the back seat and in the trunk, according to police.

The driver, 26-year-old Kadeem R. Kennedy, of Connecticut, and 26-year-old Terrance M. Jackson, of North Carolina, were arrested and charged with first degree criminal possession of cannabis and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Kennedy and Jackson were processed and taken to the Town of Mamaroneck Court for arraignment.
