Bronx Teen Left Scene of 2-Car Crash with Injuries Near I-95 Exit: PD
After an earlier crash with an NYPD car, he ignored a stop sign after the I-95N exit ramp and hit another car, Mamaroneck police said.

VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK, NY — A woman was rushed to Westchester Medical Center after a violent collision at a New England Thruway exit.
The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department says that on Monday, at 6:22 p.m., they received a 911 call about a two-car crash on Fenimore Road, at Northrup Avenue.
Once on the scene, officers found two heavily damaged vehicles and a downed utility pole.

Police administered aid to the driver of one of the cars, a 43-year-old Larchmont woman, who was then taken by EMS to Westchester Medical Center. She told police that a second car failed to obey the stop sign at the bottom of the I-95 North exit ramp, hit her car, and caused both vehicles to veer into a nearby utility pole.
The occupants of the second car fled on foot after the crash. Police found out that the vehicle they had been in was wanted in connection with a crash earlier that day with an NYPD patrol vehicle, after which it was last seen traveling north on I-95.

Officers from the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department, the New Rochelle Police Department, the Westchester County Police Department, New York State Police, and the NYPD responded to the crash scene to search for the occupants of the second car.
Village of Mamaroneck police soon found two teens, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both from the Bronx, at the gas station located on the corner of Fenimore Road and Northrup Avenue.
Another 15-year-old boy, from the Bronx, was found by Town of Mamaroneck officers in the Country Road area.
Another 16-year-old boy, from the Bronx, was found by Westchester County and New Rochelle police officers near Mohegan Road.
After an investigation by Village of Mamaroneck detectives, the driver and the three passengers of the second car were positively identified by camera footage, Westchester County Real Time Crime Center radio broadcasts, and the NYPD officers involved in the earlier crash.
All four teens were evaluated by EMS, with one taken to Westchester County Medical Center, where he was treated and released to the custody of his parent/guardian. The other three teens refused further medical attention.
The 16-year-old driver was charged with misdemeanor leaving the scene of an incident involving personal injury, and then turned over to the NYPD.
