DIY Alert: 2 New Wallauer Locations Open Doors In Westchester

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — If visiting a big box store to buy painting supplies, hardware or home decorating needs raises your blood pressure, then we have some good news for those who live in the Sound Shore.

Wallauer Paint, Hardware & Design Centers announced the recent opening of two additional store locations. An entirely new location at 960 Mamaroneck Ave. in Mamaroneck opened recently, and the company completed the move of its Pelham store to a new location at 50 Fifth Avenue last month.

The Mamaroneck location will be holding a grand opening celebration in early September with
giveaways, free raffles, food trucks and more. In addition, Wallauer will be hosting a fundraiser for the Mamaroneck-based Pediatric Cancer Foundation, by matching all donations made in every store for the entire month of September, up to $5,000.

The company says that the two new locations offer customers the full line of interior and exterior Benjamin Moore paint and stains. The Mamaroneck location, just around the corner from the Long Island Sound beaches and harbor, will also sell a wide variety of marine equipment and supplies as well as Ace Hardware products, including Yetti, Weber grills, Craftsman products and DeWalt.

Both stores will cater to residential customers and commercial contractors, according to the company.

Hours for the two stores are:

• Mamaroneck: Mon.-Fri., 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Sat., 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sun., 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Pelham: Mon.-Fri., 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sat., 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Sun., closed

Earlier this year, in January, Wallauer became an employee-owned company through the establishment of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan offering many new opportunities for its more than 100 employees across 16 locations.
