Heat Wave Alters Town Of Mamaroneck Sanitation Collection Schedule

Due to the expected extreme heat, the sanitation workers will start early this week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Due to the expected extreme heat, the sanitation workers will start early this week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please have all items out on the curb no later than 6 a.m. There will be no collection this Wednesday, June 19th, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

The following is the modification of the recycling sanitation schedule:

Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 18th, paper recycling will be collected from apartment buildings and commercial businesses only.

On Wednesday, June 19th, there will be no recycling pickup, and both the Town Center* and the Maxwell Avenue Recycling Facility will be closed.

On Monday, June 24th, those with Monday garbage collection will have their garbage and comingled recycling (glass and plastic bottles and jars/cartons/clean foil) picked up -- two separate trips.

On Tuesday, June 25th, those with Tuesday garbage collection will have their garbage and comingled recycling (glass and plastic bottles and jars/cartons/clean foil) picked up – two separate trips.

On Wednesday, June 26th, only paper recycling from all residences and commercial locations will be picked up.

*The Town Center will be open on Wednesday, June 19th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for early voting only, no regular Town business.
