MAMARONECK, NY — After a wild pursuit, mailing that birthday card in Westchester County just got a little more secure thanks to a 911 call tip and close cooperation between law enforcement agencies.

The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department says that around 5:15 p.m. last Wednesday, they received a 911 call from a person who said they saw three men trying to steal mail from the mailbox at the Mamaroneck Post Office located on Mount Pleasant Ave.

The vehicle had already fled the area by the time officers arrived, but the description of the suspects and their vehicle matched the description of suspects and a car involved in trying to steal mail from a mailbox in Pelham, according to the Village of Pelham Police Department.
