Mamaroneck School Board & Budget Results Are In
The voters decided on a $159M Mamaroneck school budget and which candidates will serve on the board of education.

MAMARONECK, NY — The ballots are in and voters have decided on the 2024 budget and school board.
Three seats were up for election on the Mamaroneck Union Free School District Board of Education.
The proposed spending plan of $159,204,563 was approved by voters 1694 to 248. The new budget is 2.37 percent higher than the current budget.

The tax levy is expected to be increased to 2.59 percent.
District officials said that the budget will support: salaries, benefits, software and supplies, debt service, security, contractual costs, and other expenses.

"The 2024-2025 Superintendent's Recommended Budget represents the first budget developed for the Mamaroneck Union Free School District during my tenure," Superintendent Charles Sampson said. "This budget ensures that we maintain the broad scope of programs and experiences that meet the different learning needs of our students while positioning our school system to adroitly proceed toward long-term planning."
The $28 million bond proposal was also passed by a wide margin.
Three board seats were up for election. Voters elected Ariana Cohen, Sally Cantwell and Michael Davidson to those seats.
