Voters decided on the $169,191,992 Mamaroneck Union Free School District budget and which candidates will serve on the board of education.

LARCHMONT-MAMARONECK, NY — The ballots are in and voters have decided on the 2025 budget and school board.
Here are the unofficial results.
The proposed Mamaroneck Union Free School District spending plan of $169,191,992 passed, with 1,008 voting yes and 310 voting no.

The new budget is 6.27 percent higher than the current budget.
The tax levy is expected to be increased by 4.98 percent, which is above the tax cap levy of 2.99 percent.

"I want to sincerely thank the Mamaroneck community for approving the 2025-2026 school budget and for your continued trust in our vision," Superintendent Charles Sampson said. "Your support of this budget enables us to take meaningful steps forward in realizing Mamaronext — our commitment to personalized learning, strengthened mentorship, and empowered educators. This investment reflects not just fiscal responsibility, but a clear belief in what our schools can achieve together."
The proposition for a $20 million Capital Reserve Fund also passed.
Two school board seats were up for election. Athena Belsito-Maikish and Stacey D'arcy were elected to those seats.
