Mamaroneck Woman Struck, Killed As She Tended To Child In Backseat
BREAKING: The woman was fatally struck on I-95 Saturday night.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Mamaroneck woman was killed after police say she was "sideswiped" by a car on I-95 in Bridgeport as she was tending to a child in the rear seat of the car she was in, Connecticut State Police said.
The woman, identified as 31-year-old Enma Torres of Mamaroneck, was in a car that was stopped partially in the right shoulder of an on-ramp to I-95 southbound at around 10:55 p.m. Saturday. Torres, who was driving, exited the car to tend to a child in the rear seat.
According to police, a second vehicle going southbound on the on-ramp hit the woman as it attempted to pass the car.

The car also hit the rear driver side door of the car. Torres was taken to Bridgeport Hospital where she died from her injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
