New 9-11 Memorial Will Be Dedicated At 2024 Tri-Municipal Ceremony
The new monument will pay tribute to the local first responders who fell victim to illnesses related to their time at "Ground Zero."

MAMARONECK, NY — The Town of Mamaroneck, along with its neighboring municipalities, will once again host a special 9/11 anniversary memorial ceremony.
The Town of Mamaroneck, along with the Village of Mamaroneck and the Village of Larchmont, announced plans to hold the annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony on September 11, at 5 p.m.
This year, dignitaries will dedicate a new memorial in honor of those first responders from the local community whose selfless actions on September 11, and the days following led to their related illnesess and ultimate deaths.

The ceremony will be held at "Girl Scout Rock" in Memorial Park on Myrtle Boulevard. The event marking more two decades since the terror attacks of September 11, is being touted as "an opportunity for the community to gather together in a cooperative spirit of support and remembrance."
Participants will include members of the Fire and Police Departments of the Town of Mamaroneck and Villages of Mamaroneck and Larchmont, Mamaroneck EMS, the Larchmont Volunteer Ambulance Corp, veterans, members of the clergy, local Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, and public officials.

All in the community are welcome to attend.
Hundreds of people have attended the event which has been hosted by the Town of Mamaroneck at "Girl Scout Rock" in Memorial Park each year on September 11, since 2002. The Girl Scouts created the September 11th Memorial which lists the names of those Larchmont-Mamaroneck community members who were lost on the infamously tragic day.
The location of the ceremony is on Myrtle Boulevard between Chatsworth Avenue and Baldwin Avenue, opposite Billy and Pete’s Restaurant in Larchmont.
