Security footage showed a masked man who seemed familiar with the property accessing the business using a key from an external lock box, according to police.

Village of Mamaroneck police say further investigation and surveillance led to the suspect being identified as a former employee, Saqueo Leonel Guzman Ramirez, who had been terminated earlier this year.

After detectives conducted a follow-up canvass and received surveillance video from other businesses and village-owned cameras, police say they were able to link Guzman Ramirez to another burglary at Ralph's on July 27, when he stole an additional $1,500 in cash.

Guzman Ramirez was arrested on Thursday and charged with burglary, grand larceny, and petit larceny, according to police. He was arraigned in Village of Mamaroneck Court and released on his own recognizance, with a future court date scheduled.
