MAMARONECK, NY — Our daily commute isn't what it used to be, even a couple years ago. Now, village officials are expanding parking options to help changing schedules.

As New York and the world adjust to new hybrid work models and flexible commuting schedules, the Village of Mamaroneck reports it is making similar adjustments to its parking lots near the Mamaroneck Train Station. The village’s ParkMobile App system is now available in the parking lot at Van Ranst Place and Jefferson Avenue, which is located next to the Wainright "Wain" Carrington Basketball Court at Columbus Park.

Drivers who occasionally park their vehicles at the Mamaroneck Train Station, but might not need to purchase a Resident Railroad (RR) or Non-Resident Railroad (NRR) parking permit can now use the ParkMobile App at this lot — especially if they’re commuting by train just a few days per week.
