Winners Of Lions Community Service Essay Contest Earn Scholarships
For nearly a quarter century, the scholarships have been awarded to graduating seniors who performed meaningful local community service.

LARCHMONT-MAMARONECK, NY — Two high school seniors earned help defraying the cost of college, thanks to their community service work, their way with words and the Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions Club.
The Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions Club awarded the two scholarships as part of its high school community service essay contest. For over 20 years, this annual scholarship has been awarded to Larchmont-Mamaroneck graduating seniors who have performed meaningful local community service.
"Youth community service brings an infusion of fresh energy and innovative ideas to local projects, which is so vital for addressing pressing issues in new and effective ways," LM Lions President Lina Pasquale said of the winning entries. "Moreover, it nurtures a sense of responsibility and empathy in young people, instilling in them the value of supporting others and contributing to a greater cause. Witnessing the dedication of young people to serving others is a powerful reminder of how youth can ignite change and inspire their community. Congratulations to award recipients Ezra and Lucie, and to all the other inspiring youth who are serving their communities well."
