70-Year-Old Man Found Stabbed to Death in Nassau Home
Police went to the man's house to check on him, and found him murdered in a bedroom.

LEVITTOWN, NY – Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a 70-year-old man who was found dead inside his home last Friday evening, Nassau Police said.
According to police, Second Precinct officers received a call to conduct a wellness check at a home on Shepard Lane in Levittown. Upon gaining entry into the home, officers found the body of William Cahoon in one of the bedrooms at 6:44 p.m.
An investigation revealed that Cahoon had been stabbed multiple times. No arrests have been made.

According to ABC7, Cahoon lived alone and was a retired maintenance worker for the Levittown School District. ABC reported that police believe he was targeted and that they are investigating to see if anything was stolen, but it will take time because Cahoon was a hoarder. The motive for his murder is still unknown, police said.
