How did this person, place or experience make a difference in your life or community this year?

Being an employee for 4 years , Durham Deli continues to be a reliable place where people can come for fresh, delicious hoagies at great prices. I've learned how much a friendly smile, a well-made sandwich, and genuine service can brighten someone's day.

What would you like everyone in town to know about your nominee?

It's a place where neighbors stop in, catch up with one another while waiting for their food. I've watched new customers discover us and regulars return week after week, which makes me proud to be part of something that brings people together.

If you could tell them one thing, what would it be?

Durham Deli is more than just great hoagies, its a place where quality, care, and community come together every day.

What’s something you love most about your town or community?

What I love about my community is the sense of connection and kindness between people. Local businesses like Durham Deli brings everyone together, and there's a warmth that makes it feel like home.
