East Broadway Elementary School Principal Jeanmarie Wink and student Emma Purlungher participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Long Island’s 27th annual Gello Slide on June 28.
The duo plunged into a vat that contained 1,500 gallons of red Jell-O to raise money for blood cancer awareness and research in honor of fifth-grade student Hank Chase. Hank is in remission and recently participated in the school’s moving up program.
