Division Avenue High School Claims Consecutive Conference Titles
Two players named All-County, three named All-Conference.

Division Avenue’s Dragons varsity softball team had another outstanding year in 2013, winning Conference ABC 2 with a record of 10-2. This was the team’s second consecutive conference and the first time in 10 years that it has accomplished this feat.
The team was lead by a strong senior class – Jessica Goehringer, Danielle Hafner, Taylor LeBright, Chistine Lepis, Taylor Rosenthal, Julie Weidler and Cheryl White.
This season of accomplishments saw the Dragons earn many postseason awards. Pitcher Taylor Rosenthal and catcher Alexis Alvino were named to the All-County team. Second baseman Taylor LeBright, shortstop Kim Beattie and pitcher Justine Jean received All-Conference awards.
First baseman Cheryl White was selected for All-Division, while senior outfielder Julie Weidler represented the Dragons on the Nassau County Scholar-Athlete team.
The hard work and dedication of all the players and coaches in the program made this a truly special and unforgettable season.
