LONG ISLAND, NY — It's nearly December, and the temperature is dropping. And Long Island may get its first snowfall this week. But it won't be much.

According to the National Weather Service, this week is going to be chilly, with temperatures varying between the mid 40s and low 50s all week. Despite temperatures being above freezing on Tuesday, we may get some snow.

The NWS said that there could be scattered flurries after 11 a.m., which would then mix with slightly heavier snow after 2 p.m. The flurries could keep going into the night out on the East End of Long Island. The snow won't stick around, though.
