It was a day of pride and spirit as Levittown staff, students and members of the community attended MacArthur High School’s annual homecoming parade and game.
The weekend event commenced with an afternoon pep rally in the school’s auditorium for the school’s athletic teams.
Prior to Saturday’s game, Grand Marshall Brendan Gallagher, administrators and Board of Education trustees led the procession of class and club banners, marching bands, cheerleaders and homecoming court members in the parade from Cherrywood Plaza in Wantagh to the athletic field.
Prior to kickoff, the senior football players, color guard, cheerleaders and Macettes and a parent escort were introduced and honored for years of service to the school community.Â
The members of the homecoming court were also announced, and King John Lewis and Queen Rachel Walsh were crowned. The court members included Krystal Bonsignore, James Knoebel, Erin McCarthy, Jennifer Race, Halee Rischert, Andrew Spinelli, Dylan Zangrillo and Brian Zilli.

 The homecoming half-time show proceeded with a performance by the band, under the direction on MacArthur Band Director Joseph Romano. There were also performances by the award-winning cheerleading team, color guard and dance team.
Another highlight of the day, however, was the 33-14 victory over the Elmont Spartans.Â
