Island Trees Football Player Signs National Letter of Intent

The senior was the starting quarterback for the Bulldogs.

The Island Trees School District announced that Ryan Carroll has signed a letter of intent to play football at Hartwick College next year.

Carroll was the starting quarterback and co-captain of this year's team as well as an all-conference and academic all-conference player. He helped the team achieve a 4-4 record, tied 5th in the standings and making them eligible again for the playoffs.

Carroll was asked by his coaches to participate in the Nassau County Senior Game as a free safety. The game which was played at Mitchell Field on Thanksgiving morning.

"The football staff wishes Ryan the best of luck and continued success next year as well as in all future endeavors," said Head Coach Mike Bonsignore.
