Island Trees HS Orchestra Achieves Gold Rating at States

The Island Trees High School Orchestra performed at the NYSSMA Major Organization Festival held at Hofstra University on May 22.

Under the direction of Leiann McGrory, the Orchestra earned the highest rating of “Gold” based on the numerical rating of the adjudicators. 

The Orchestra performed two contrasting pieces which showcased their talent and hard work.  C

"Congratulations to both the orchestra students and their teacher, Mrs. McGrory on a job well done!" said Susan Oliveto, Music Department Chairperson.
