Island Trees Sophomore Earns All-State Track Honors

Island Trees High School student Alexa Dolgos recently came in 6th place in the NY State Division I Track and Field Championship, earning her a medal and all-state status.

"Dolgos competed against the best of the best in New York, and she was able to do extremely well," said Joseph Manna, Island Trees track coach.

The meet, which took place in Middletown, NY, was originally scheduled for a Friday but was postponed to Saturday due to rains and gale force winds. Dolgos was unfazed by the delay and was ready to run on Saturday.
