Island Trees Student Named Runner Up in Volunteer Contest
The eighth grader will be honored at the next Community Council meeting.

Christina Ragusa, an eighth grader at Island Trees Memorial Middle School, was selected as the runner up in this year's Junior Volunteer of the Year contest for her exceptional volunteer accomplishments.
Every year the Levittown Community Council accepts nominations for the prestigious contest. Candidates are evaluated for their efforts in the community, dedication to helping others, and exceptional character.
Ragusa will be honored at the Levittown Community Council Meeting on Monday, May 20. At the ceremony Christina will receive a Certificate of Recognition from the Council and local media has been invited to the event.
"On behalf of Island Trees Memorial Middle School, we congratulate Christina on her incredible accomplishments," said Dr. Roger Bloom, Principal at ITMMS.
