Lady Dragons Remain in Conference One

Last year, the girls varsity soccer team at Levittown’s Division Avenue High
School captured the Conference One Championship and were voted the best regular season team in Nassau County by the Nassau County Coaches Association.

With many key players lost to graduation, it was unsure where the Blue Dragons, under the direction of varsity coach Steve Kissane and junior varsity coach Hayley Lacey, would be placed for the current season. However, after assessing returning talent, it was decided the Blue Dragons could compete and hold their own in the top ability group in the county.

Leading the way for Division is a very talented group of seniors. Starting in goal
for Division Avenue is senior Gina Fader, who holds the record for most shutouts in a season.

Playing defense in front of Gina are Alexa Schneider, Alyssa Fiore and Taylor LeBright, all of whom are all-stars from last season. Alexa was also named Conference Player of the Year in 2011, as well as named to the All-New York State First Team.

Playing in the midfield for the Dragons are Felicia Comuniello and Joanne Orellana,
while Julia Kardonsky powers the Blue Dragon offense.

With this talented group of seniors, the Blue Dragons hope to continue the
success they have had in the past and go deep into the county playoffs!
