Lee Road Students Set Goals For New Year
The students set their new years' resolutions in school using vision boards, district representatives say.
LEVITTOWN, NY. — Lee Road Elementary School students are preparing for a big 2026 this week, with students across several grade levels taking time out of their days to set new year’s resolutions.
Kindergarteners at Lee Road started the new year by naming their resolution, with student goals including to spend more time with family, make positive choices and learn how to roller skate. Fourth graders took the resolution-setting a step further, creating vision boards to describe what their goals might be like. Those vision boards not only included visual representations of these goals, but actionable steps that the students could take to make sure they achieve them. These vision boards, district representatives said, included items like visiting the library to read more books and practicing their sports to hone on-field skills.
“The projects were a great way for students to take on the year ahead with growth in mind,” district representatives said.
