Levittown Announces Mercury Club Scholarship Winners

MacArthur High School students Shannon Murphy and Eric Russo are this year’s recipients of the annual Mercury Club scholarship award. 

The Mercury Club, a parent booster club for cross-country and winter and spring track and field teams, annually awards a deserving male and female track student with a $500 scholarship. The students are chosen based on an essay which describes how being a part of a team has influenced them and helped them prepare for college.

Next fall, Shannon will attend the University of Kentucky to study pre-veterinary science, and Eric will attend the University of Albany to study business.
