Levittown Fire Department Honors Member Killed in Motorcycle Accident
Jason DeLauro, 32, was a 13-year member of the fire department and joined the Air Force in 2009.
The Levittown Fire Department recently held a service remembering the life of Jason DeLauro, a Levittown resident and a long-time member of the department who was killed in a motorcycle accident in Suffolk County last week.
DeLauro, 32, joined the fire department on June 7, 2000, the day after his 18th birthday, giving him 13 years of service, the department said in a release.

During his 13 years of service, DeLauro was a member of Ladder Company 1 and Engine Company 3 and served as company secretary for both companies.
DeLauro then joined the Air Force in October 2009 and graduated from Lackland Air Force Base with distinguished honors. He then was stationed in West Hampton, NY.
During his time with the Air Force Jason attended Tech. school at Keesler Ai Force Base and then returned to West Hampton, NY.
Jason will be remembered by his parents Bob and Pam and his younger brother Justin.
