Separate hat tricks from Jenna Giammarusco and Olivia Pearse paced the Levittown Wildcats to a 6-0 victory over the North Shore Gems in the Girls-Under-10 ENY Upper 90 Cup final.
The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) game between two Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) teams was played on June 2 at Stringham Park in LaGrange.
Levittown keeper Justine Carroll received the shutout in goal.
“Our players really worked the ball nice and spread the field,” said Levittown coach Robert Pearse.
North Shore received the Howard Rubenstein Sportsmanship Award. Now retired, Mr. Rubenstein was seemingly involved in every facet of New York soccer for decades and is a member of the Halls of Fame of Eastern New York, the US Amateur Soccer Association and the Long Island Junior Soccer League.
