Levittown Library Trustee Election Bio: Margaret Santer
Budget vote and trustee election takes place Tuesday, May 21.

Margaret Santer is seeking re-election to the Levittown Library Board of Trustees for her sixth five-year term.
“If elected, I intend to work toward maintaining the Library Building and facilities while incorporating the latest technology to ensure that our Library is second to none on Long Island,” said Santer, who is running unopposed.

Santer is a 45-year resident of Levittown and has served on the Library Board of Trustees for 25 years.
She is the mother of four children, a brownie troop leader, a PTA volunteer at Summit Lane, Wisdom Middle School, and Division High School, an active member of St. Bernard’s R.C. Church, a rosary confraternity, an Eucharistic minister to the homebound, and a blood drive volunteer.
“…as well as being retired on a fixed income, I will continue to exercise fiscal restraint in all matters concerning the Library,” she said.
The library budget vote and election of library trustee takes place at Levittown Public Schools on Tuesday, May 21, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
