The induction took place at Nassau County's Toys for Tots drive in December.

LEVITTOWN, NY. — Levittown native Charles “Chuck” Kilbride got an early gift this holiday season, as he was inducted into the New York State Veterans’ Hall of Fame at Nassau County’s Toys for Tots drive earlier this month.
Joined by State Senator Steve Rhoads and Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, Kilbride was formally inducted in honor of, “a lifetime of service that has profoundly impacted Long Island, New York State and the nation,” Rhoads’ office said.
Kilbride has spent more than 30 years working with the Marine Corps to lead Long Island’s Toys for Tots campaign, donating to over 100,000 children in 2023 alone. He also served 27 years in the marines, earning the National Defense Service Medal, a Sharpshooter Rifle distinction, and working as a recruiter and community leader after his active duty concluded.
