Levittown Resident Honored With Veterans Service Award
Annual Salute to Veterans event was held on June 29 in Point Lookout.

Robert Christian Wieboldt of Levittown was recently awarded the Town of Hempstead's Veterans Service Award for his contributions to the community.
The Veterans Service Award is bestowed on veterans who have dedicated themselves to volunteerism on behalf of their fellow men and women in uniform. Mr. Wieboldt served 25 years as Commander of the Merrick American Legion Post 1282, leading several successful fundraising events for military causes and reaching out to help veterans in need.
Hempstead Town Receiver of Taxes Don Clavin, Councilman Gary Hudes (2nd right) and Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby (right) presented the award to Wieboldt during the town’s annual Salute to Veterans event on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Town Park Point Lookout.
