The New York Islanders announced Thursday that they have teamed up with ESPN radio to broadcast game 5 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, with a Levittown resident set to provide the radio color commentary.
ESPN New York 98.7 FM, as well as the Islanders official radio station Hofstra University WRHU 88.7, will both broadcast Game Five of the Islanders vs. Pittsburgh Penguins series, live Thursday night at 7 p.m.
Chris King, the Islanders play-by-play announcer and color analyst Kevin Dexter, a Levittown resident and senior at Hofstra University, will call the action.

The Islanders, a huge underdog in the best of seven series, have surprised many by evening the series at 2-2.
“With the heightened excitement surrounding New York Islanders hockey, we’re pleased to work with ESPN New York and our broadcast partner at Hofstra University, WRHU, to deliver the game to our passionate fans throughout the tri-state area,” said New York Islanders Senior Vice President, Michael Picker.
Dexter, 21, is a 2009 graduate of Division Avenue High School. WRHU 88.7 is currently the only college radio station in the country to be the home of a major sports franchise.
