It was an evening filled with nostalgia as senior citizens from the Levittown community danced the night away at the Levittown School District’s annual Senior Citizen Prom.
Dressed in cowboy hats and other Western attire, the guests danced to tunes played by the Ron James Orchestra.
Levittown Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Debbie Rifkin welcomed the seniors and thanked them for their support of education. “We appreciate everything you’ve done to build this community,” she said.
Culinary students at the Gerald R. Claps Career and Technical Center prepared a delicious hot meal, which was served by student volunteers. Fully set tables adorned with centerpieces surrounded the dance floor, among which the seniors mingled with old and new friends.
The student volunteers kept the dance cards full as they requested dance time and tried some of the steps as the seniors instructed them.
