Story by Liz Sobel
Levittown students at Summit Lane had the rare opportunity to learn new moves and techniques and to play soccer with the Long Island Rough Riders soccer team.
The forum supported the emphasis on exercise and healthy living promoted through the district’s annual Levittown Educators Against Destructive Decisions, or LEADD, Week.
During the workshops by both men and women players, the students were divided into small groups on Division Avenue High School’s turf field. A Rough Rider worked with each of the teams to teach soccer skills and promote healthy living.
