Levittown Students Learn American Flag Etiquette
Levittown American Legion Commissioner Andrew Booth was on hand to teach these Levittown students about properly handling American flags.

In celebration of Memorial Day and upcoming Flag Day on June 14, American Legion Commissioner Andrew Booth and members of Post 1711 instructed Northside Elementary School students on American flag etiquette.
The Levittown students learned about historical facts about the flag, what the stars and stripes stand for and the proper way to hang and fold a flag. In addition to information on flag etiquette, Booth talked about the importance of Memorial Day and the Pledge of Allegiance. He encouraged the students to display respect as dignitaries and holders of the flag march passed them in the parade.
“Show respect for the flag by placing your hand over your heart,” he said.
