The new Walmart Market in Levittown has been given a planned grand opening date for July 10, the company has announced.
Associates have now begin stocking shelves in preparation for its grand opening. The 49,395-square-foot store, located at 3335 Hempstead Turnpike, will include a full line of groceries and an assortment of general merchandise.
A new store sign was also just recently installed in front of the building.
Previously, the company announced that Nadine Negron has been named the store manager. The company also set up a hiring center at 148 Gardiners Ave.
This will be Long Island's first Walmart Market grocery store, will employ about 95 people and has created about 100 new construction jobs, according to Steven V. Restivo, Senior Director of Community Affairs for Walmart.
