LI Weather: Beautifully Warm, Sunny Weekend Ahead

LONG ISLAND, NY — It's going to be sunny and warm on Long Island Long Island this weekend, so make some plans for outdoor activities.

Temperatures will be in the low 70s this weekend, with partly sunny skies. The high temperatures will carry over to Monday as well, before dropping back down to seasonal norms.

The temperature shift will create fog tonight and into Saturday morning, but that will clear up before noon.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Patchy fog after 3 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. South wind around 6 mph.

Saturday: Patchy fog before 10 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 72. South wind 5 to 11 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. South wind around 10 mph.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. South wind 8 to 11 mph.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 60.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
