It will be a great weekend for getting outdoors. But rain creeps back into the forecast on Monday.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Long Islanders can look forward to a warm, sunny weekend before rain creeps back into the forecast.
Both Saturday and Sunday look to be beautiful, according to the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service. Highs for both days will be in the mid-80s, and clouds will be minimal.
There is a small chance of thunderstorms on Sunday, but the chance of rain increases as the new work week begins. Rain is likely on Monday, which will bring temperatures down a bit.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers after 11 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind 3 to 8 mph.
Sunday: A slight chance of showers before 1 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1 .p.m and 5 p.m. Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 83. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Sunday Night: Patchy fog after 4 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 69.
