LI Weekly Weather: Wet Start, Then Clear Skies And Mild Temperatures
Things will start to feel like autumn this week, with highs in the mid-70s most days.

LONG ISLAND, NY — A wet and humid start to the week is going to give way to clear skies and mild temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast for Monday and Tuesday isn't the best. After a humid and overcast day, rain comes into the forecast Monday night and into Tuesday. Thunderstorms are possible from about 11 p.m. to 11 a.m., and rain will likely continue into Tuesday afternoon.
But the rain will clear by Tuesday night, and the rest of the week will look much better. Skies will be clear, and temperatures are down from the summertime highs. After a high around 80 on Wednesday, highs for Thursday and Friday will be in the mid-70s.
