MacArthur Business Students Compete in Comptrollers Entrepreneurial Challenge
Students formed groups and created a new products to be sold throughout Nassau County.

Story by Liz Sobel.
MacArthur High School students from Steve Fazzolari’s Business Ownership and Marketing class and Bill Farney’s Marketing Principles and Practices class recently competed in the first annual Nassau County Comptrollers Entrepreneurial Challenge.
The Levittown students formed groups and assumed various roles, including CEO, vice president of finance, social media director and more. For the competition, the students were instructed to create a new product to be sold throughout Nassau County.
After creating their products and developing their business plans, the students needed to present their products to a group of investors. Twenty-two MacArthur High School business students competed against approximately 200 students from various schools throughout the county. All of Levittown’s participants received high praise from the judges and excellent scores.
One group advanced into the final round, which consisted of the six highest point totals from the day, and pitched their product one final time during a five-minute presentation.
