MacArthur's 'What Does the Fox Say?' Parody Eclipses 60,000 Views

More than 40,000 have clicked in the last four days alone.

On Nov. 6, Vincent Causeman, a teacher at MacArthur High School, uploaded a YouTube video that was getting a lot of buzz.

Just 12 days later, the popular "What Does the Fox Say?" parody has soared past 62,000 views, gaining more than 40,000 clicks since Patch first reported the story Thursday.

The idea was to use the video as part of the October talent show, Mary Anne Sanchez, one of the video's stars and a teacher of social studies and psychology. Causeman stars as the fox in the video, which was filmed in 45 minutes on Oct. 17.

"This started because staff members wanted to keep the lineup of entertainment running smoothly at a students' event," MacArthur Principal Kathleen Valentino told Newsday. “They volunteered their own time after school to film the spoof to bridge the gap.“
