Man Faces Charges After String Of Burglaries: PD

Police say the man was arrested Thursday morning.

LOCATION, NY. — Police reported an arrest Friday morning related to a string of burglaries that had occurred across Nassau County.

According to Nassau County police, 52-year-old Joseph Borrello was arrested at 11:58 a.m. Thursday; detectives said the unhoused man was responsible for breaking glass at several establishments and taking a combination of items and money from them.

A public information officer said Friday afternoon that the incidents Borrello was arrested in connection with took place at Beyond Bagels in Jericho, Clinton Grocery in Hempstead, a corner store in Valley Stream, David's Express Barbershop in Oceanside, Kawa Sushi in Massapequa, Mario's Pizzeria in Massapequa, Munsey Park Bagel in Manhasset, Pit Stop Gas Station in Massapequa, Villa Deli in Levittown, and an unnamed pizzeria in Levittown. That Valley Stream corner store, the officer said, was the site of two separate incidents involving Borrello.
