Meet the New Principal of MacArthur High School

Levittown introduces their high school new principal, Joseph Sheehan.

The Levittown School District is pleased to announce Joseph Sheehan as the new principal of MacArthur High School.

Mr. Sheehan, a resident of Bethpage, has served as assistant principal of MacArthur High School since 2007. Prior to his tenure in Levittown, Mr. Sheehan served as Health Coordinator and Dean of Students at the New York City Department of Education’s Intermediate School 318.

Mr. Sheehan said that it has been an honor working as assistant principal of MacArthur High School for the past eight years, and he is honored to take the helm as principal.

“Being appointed principal of this incredible school is an honor I hold dearly, and I look forward to furthering the exceptional instruction and work ethic that is paramount for our continued success,” he said.

Mr. Sheehan holds a bachelor’s degree in social science from Long Island University Southampton College, a master’s degree in exercise physiology from LIU Brooklyn, and school administration and supervision certification from Queens College.
