NEARBY: Leandra's Law DWI Arrest Made in Hicksville
The Westbury man is being charged with driving drunk with a child in the vehicle.

Nassau County Police said they have made a Leandra's Law arrest for an aggravated DWI that occurred on June 9, 2013 at 1:05 am. in Hicksville.
According to police, Cirilo Francisco-Diaz, 49, of Westbury, was observed by police operating a gray 2007 Honda westbound on West Old Country Road in Hicksville at a high rate of speed and failing to maintain lanes. Police said they stopped the car and saw a 10-year-old boy sitting in the front passenger seat.
The defendant was placed under arrest without incident, and the child was released to a family friend, police said.

Leandra's Law makes it an automatic felony on the first offense to drive drunk with a person under 15 in the vehicle.
The defendant is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra’s Law), driving while Intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. He will be arraigned on June 9, 2013 at First District Court, Hempstead.
