Cops: Attacker hits man in face with bottle; is later captured.

A man seated at a table at the Broadway Deli in Hicksville was approached from behind and smashed in the face with a glass bottle.
The assailant fled the store, but was captured a short time later, Nassau County detectives said.
The attack took place Friday just before 6 p.m. at the Broadway Deli, located at 21 Broadway. The victim, a 31-year-old male, was seated at a table inside when another man approached him from behind and struck the victim in the face with a glass bottle. The motive for the attack wasn't clear.
The subject then fled the store on foot. After an investigation, Celso A. Santos, 39, of 49 E. John St., Hicksville was placed under arrest without incident.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.
The defendant is being charged with felony assault and was arraigned on the charge Saturday in First District Court, Hempstead.
