Police said the defendant, Keddy Oliver, of Westbury, was charged with two counts of third degree robbery and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The incident occurred on Sunday, June 9 at 1:15 p.m. Oliver allegedly approached a 34-year-old man and his 24-year-old wife along with their two children who were waiting for a ride outside the store.

The defendant then pushed the victims and demanded money from them while pointing his hand in the shape of a gun to the husband and children, according to police.
The wife, fearing for her family’s safety, handed over an undetermined amount of money, police said. Oliver then fled on foot in an unknown direction, and Second Precinct officers were able to locate him shortly after on nearby Nevada Street and placed him under arrest.
