Public Hearing on Proposed Levittown Starbucks to Be Held Wednesday

The Town of Hempstead Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing Wednesday on a proposed drive-through Starbucks at the site of the former Rayco4 building in Levittown.

The company is seeking a special exception to demolish the existing building at 2693 Hempstead Tpke. and install a drive-through window.

The hearing will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2 p.m. at Town Hall Plaza, One Washington St. in Hempstead. View the agenda online here.

Another case on the former Sam Jon’s Hair Salon has been adjourned.

The owner is requesting to the use the home at 3693 Hempstead Tpke. for a retail store and one apartment, which is not permitted in the LPRD district, as well as requesting to waive off-street parking, a special exception to park in the front yard setback on Balsam Lane and Hempstead Turnpike, among other requests.
